Facilities at The Bay Hotel
From intimate or informal dining to large seminars or small business meetings, The Bay can meet your needs. Offering spacious lounges, boardroom, bars, restaurants, swimming pool and health & beauty facilities, The Bay is well equipped for both business and pleasure.
Meeting at The Bay
Set in one of the Cape’s most breath-taking locations, nestled between azure sea and mountains in Camps Bay, The Bay Hotel is the perfect venue for functions of all kinds. From strategy meetings, conferences and launches to weddings, banquets, dances and celebrations of every kind, there’s a range of options in this elegant five-star hotel complex. Just minutes from the centre of Cape Town, yet a world away from the city bustle, the sensational surroundings and fresh sea air lift the spirits and set the stage for really special events.
The Boardroom at The Bay Hotel, with its fresh new look, offers the perfect atmosphere for seminar breakfasts, meetings and presentations, corporate entertaining and small cocktail parties.

The Lounge at The Bay Hotel, offers a special ambience for larger seminars, cocktail parties and intimate weddings.

The Rotunda, a Cape landmark for nearly 100 years, is the ultimate setting for weddings and large business functions. This gracious, spacious, exciting venue can seat over 300 guests in comfort around a large dance floor or as many as 550 guests for a conference.

Bon Appetit – Spoilt for choice
From light meals to real gourmet delights, the food at the hotel is widely acclaimed. With a selection of restaurants and bars, there’s always a setting to suit you mood.

Tides Restaurant, the new high water mark in Cape Town dining. Fresh, simple modern cuisine and décor in beech wood and shades of green make this 95-seater restaurant a fabulous setting for a party. Our chefs will offer you a meal to remember and, of course, the view along the sweep of Camps Bay beach is simply unforgettable.

Traders, situated on the upper level of The Bay Hotel, is a sophisticated bar/lounge perfect for relaxing in. Traders offers a choice of aromatic cigars, fine champagne and cognac. A unique feature is a temperature controlled walk-in cellar from which guests may choose a bottle from a selection of rare local and imported wines. While enjoying a pre-dinner drink, guests can peruse the wine selection to enjoy with their meal. The elegant, comfortable room enjoys an open flow into Tides Restaurant and provides an up-market, versatile setting for private gatherings.

Sandy B, situated on the lower level of The Bay Hotel, is a casual, but chic & trendy cocktail bar venue with direct access from the sands of Camps Bay beach. It is fun, casual and invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy a light lunch or sip a cocktail while basking in the last rays of the setting sun on the wooden deck and enjoying those famous Camps Bay sunsets. Shapes of the Atlantic Seaboard are found in the bar counter and glass racks. The low furniture, timber, stainless steel & granite finishes add to the relaxed atmosphere, but remain uncomplicated so as not to detract from the view.

Espresso Bar This pool-side bar, situated on the lower level of The Bay Hotel, closes for winter – but plans are already underway to come back with a clout. The new season will bring a completely new concept – more funky & hip, with the emphasis being placed on healthy salads, designer sandwiches and light lunches.

Blues Restaurant situated near The Bay Hotel – in The Promenade, Camps Bay – is a 160-seater Californian style restaurant that has always been a place for casual, yet sophisticated dining, Blues has spectacular views of the palm-fringed Camps Bay beach, and an incredible mix of good food, ambience, design and setting. Beach, sea & sky…Inside & out…Day & night.

Baraza Groove Bar situated near The Bay Hotel – in The Promenade, Camps Bay (next door to Blues Restaurant) – is a 75-seater African style wine bar and eatery. Inspired by the island of Zanzibar, you can feel the spirit ~ the mood, the flavours, taste & drink. Baraza, Swahili for “Meeting Place”, is available for cocktail functions and private parties.
